Eleven

Having superpowers is usually pretty awesome. However, that isn’t the case for poor Eleven. They brought her many hardships and constantly put her in danger. She has psychokinetic abilities which are at their peak when she is angry or scared.

She was raised in the Hawkins National Laboratory by dr. Martin Brenner, her Papa. He experimented on her and other children in an attempt to control their powers and manipulate them. After escaping from the facility, Eleven was found by Mike with whom she connected instantly. 

Hopper adopted her and named her Jane to fit easier with her peers. Following his death, she moved to another state with Byers. There she was constantly bullied and had a hard time being away from her friends. 

She wants to protect her friends and family more than anything. She is socially withdrawn and cautious around people, but also immensely caring and empathic. 

Mike

Mike is the leader of this small lovable group of friends. According to Will, he is the heart of the group that keeps everything together. After Will went missing, he found Eleven and asked her to help them find their missing friend. He easily connects things and has a creative mind, as suggested by his Dungeon Master role.

He is very affectionate, optimistic, and emotional, but also rather gullible. He can connect to others easily. After he and Eleven started dating he began showing his more romantic side.

Will

Will is a shy member of the group. He always takes the back seat and goes wherever his friends take him. He considers them his family and loves spending time with them, especially playing D&D. That being said, Will doesn’t feel like he fits in the society. The fanbase speculates that he is gay and that he has a hard time opening up about that to anyone.

After going missing, Will also showed his resilient side. He spent a week trying to hide from Demogorgon while also communicating with his friends through lights and electricity. Even after being rescued from Upside Down, Will stayed connected to The Mind Flayer. He can see the visions of the future and feel its presence. Spooky.

Lucas 

Unlike Mike, Lucas had a time hard believing in the abnormal. When playing D&D with his friends, he was hesitant about discussing unusual events. After meeting Eleven, he was also wary of her and her special abilities. Lucas is definitely a realist.

He admits that he would prefer if he didn’t know about the Upside Down and events that are happening around Hawkins while talking to Max. He quickly had a massive crush on her and the two became a couple at a Snow Ball. 

Dustin

Dustin always keeps his mind on the bigger picture. When his friends start quarreling between themselves he makes sure they understand there are more important things. He is undeniably the most intelligent member of the group and very tech-savvy.

Like most of the nerds, Dustin has poor luck with the ladies. After receiving advice from Steve and Nancy he met his girlfriend Suzie. His description of her was beyond impressive which made his friends think that Dustin is lying.

Steve

Being handsome and popular never got to Steve’s head. He loves spending time with Dustin and the crew. He often has to take care of them from monsters. While he enjoys it, he wouldn’t mind not being a “babysitter” for once. But are you really babysitting when you are slaying monsters?

He has a crush on Nancy Wheeler and thinks that she might be his soul mate. Sadly for him, she’s happy with Jonathan which forces Steve to look elsewhere. So far he had no success. His best friends are Dustin and Robin.
