General Mark Naird

This four-star general is the leading character in the show. He leads the newest branch of the US military, the Space Force. Even though his dream was running the Air Force, general Naird takes his new job seriously and with a lot of pride.

He’s open to new ideas and technologies, unlike many of the military men his age. He doesn’t stick to his old ways but consults his team of scientists on how to move forward. He’s usually seen as stern, confident and emotionless. He was taught to push his emotions down, but they still resurface sometimes. This can be seen when he’s drunk and Erin is driving him home.

Dr. Adrian Mallory

Dr. Mallory is a man of science who has no interest in politics. Furthermore, he despises the militarization of space and often doesn’t take orders from Mark. He is general Naird’s right hand and the person most responsible for the Space Force’s technological advancements. 

His parents were diplomats in Geneva where he grew up. He often looks down on scientists working for other companies and believes that he is superior. Dr. Mallory is a tall elderly man.

F. Tony Scarapiducci

Tony is the Head Media Manager at Space Force. He is resilient, awkward, and usually disliked by other employees. He is always seen with his phone because he needs to stay in trend. Even though he is often egoistical, Tony cares about others. On top of that, he is always cheerful and carries a smile with him wherever he goes. Only later do we find out that Tony is lonely and doesn’t know what he wants to do in life.

Erin Naird

Being a daughter of a soldier is hard. It’s even harder when that soldier is a general who was taught to repress his emotions. But it doesn’t stop there. You also have to abandon your life and friends just to move in the middle of a desert. That’s Erin Naird.

She has trouble making friends in her new school and is often seen wandering around Space Force premises. She dates a Russian spy whom she met while working at Meal Armstrong. Unlike her father, she doesn’t have set plans for the future and wants to explore things before committing to college.

Angela Ali

Angela Ali is the first woman to be on the moon. The stress got to her, and she went viral with her first words on the moon being “It’s good to be black on the moon”. After returning from the moon, Angela has a hard time returning to daily life. She is traumatized by the events that happened in space. She has a complicated relationship with Dr. Chan. 

Dr. Chan Kaifang

Dr. Chan is a second-in-command behind dr. Mallory. His most noticeable trait is a sarcastic attitude. But there are times when he shows his softer side, especially when around Angela. He wants a relationship with her but doesn’t understand what she’s going through. Instead, it affects his confidence and daily mood. Lastly, Dr. Chan eats his food in specific ways. For example, he likes cutting his cake in small rectangles.
