Like most of the current NBA superstars, Trae was a nation's phenomenon since High School. He went on to join Oklahoma Sooners with whom he had a 1 year stint in College before declaring for NBA draft. During his time there he led NCAA in points and assists, putting up 27.4 and 8.7 respectively. In 2018 draft he was chosen by Dallas Mavericks with 5th pick. He never got to wear the Mavs jersey and was traded to Atlanta Hawks on the draft day. First year in a league he put up 19 points per game, which he improved by an astonishing 10 points a following year. His only All-star appearance came in 2020-21 season. People often draw comparisons between him and Steph Curry due to their similar style.
