F1 Trivia

Over the 7 decades of the sport, F1 has seen many teams come and go. But that's not the case for the Tifosi. Ferrari is the longest-running constructor that took part in every championship since 1950. They also hold the record for most grand prix wins with 242. They're accompanied by Alfa Romeo as the only two teams on the current grid that took part in the inaugural 1950 season.

Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton share the top spot with the 7 Championship Titles. Briton caught up to great Michael and surpassed him in the category of most wins and most pole positions.

In the past, Formula 1 was infamous for its danger. Until 1980, each season had at least one, if not two fatal crashes. After the deaths of Aryton Senna, who is regarded as one of the best F1 drivers of all time, and Roland Ratzenberger, safety measures were increased. Sadly, there are still occasional accidents that lead to fatal results.

History Of F1 Tracks

A Grand Prix may only be held at a circuit that complies with FIA criteria that extend into hundreds of pages, with rules ranging from track size to on-site medical center prescription supplies. To confirm a track's license, mandatory inspections are necessary. A license is normally valid for 3 years after the last inspection date.

Currently, a Grand Prix may be held on 37 different tracks in 24 different nations, with a total of 45 different layouts.

Classic F1 Tracks

Since its inception, Formula 1 has maintained a close connection to a few of the most important circuits that have helped define the sport during its 70-year history. Despite the sport's next season being its longest ever, it's important to remember that Formula 1 still visits some of the sport's most historic and famous tracks.

Silverstone, Monaco and Autodromo Nazionale Monza will still be on the schedule in 2022 – three of the seven tracks that Formula 1 competed on during its debut year of the contemporary World Championship! Whether you're a long-time fan or a novice, these are three iconic F1 circuits that should be on your list to visit in 2022.

Autodromo Nazionale di Monza

This year, the Formula 1 calendar's oldest track celebrates its 100th anniversary! Every year except one since 1950, the city park track in the suburbs of Milan has staged a contemporary World Championship round.

Although the banked oval portion hasn't been utilized since 1961, today's fast 5.8km circuit preserves many of the old turns. The 'Tifosi' of Ferrari love Monza because it has been the site of so many memorable triumphs throughout the years.

Monaco Grand Prix

The Circuit de Monaco, which was inaugurated in 1929, has always been considered an unusual and unworkable location for top-level motor racing. But the race in this little province on the French Riviera is still one of Formula 1's most prestigious race tracks. 67 World Championships were held there.

Although the increased size of F1 cars makes wheel-to-wheel racing more difficult than ever, fans love this traditional circuit. Despite its constraints and subpar racing, fans all over the world still tune in to watch it every year.

Silverstone

Silverstone was built on the grounds of a World War II runway in 1948 and hosted the inaugural race of the current Formula 1 World Championship 2 years later. Many of Formula 1's most thrilling races have taken place in the English countryside's fast and flowing course, despite its lack of visual interest.

In addition to serving as the only host of the British Grand Prix for more than a decade, Silverstone is also one of the most popular events on the calendar, attracting more than a million fans annually.
