Later Gon successfully passes his rigorous and tough Hunter Examination to become a hunter along with his three mates, Kurapika, Leorio, and Killua. The plot is a thrilling adventure for the imagination as the hunters travel through mysterious worlds and indulge in dangerous adventures.

Animation Versions

The series has been made twice, once in 1999 and once twelve years later in 2011. There are some striking differences between the two. The first one being animation quality. The 1999 adaptation was made by Nippo Animation. The 2011 version was made by Madhouse Animations.

Apart from that, there are some storyline differences that observant viewers might have noticed. Some of the changes are significant. These are especially the choices the characters make as the story progresses. In the 2011 adaption, the role of Kite was reduced dramatically as compared to the 1999 animation.

Even though Kite played a crucial role in the story's development, the role has been altered to make some new changes. The number of episodes has also changed. The 1999 series had only 62 episodes.
