Mabel

Mabel is an energetic and hyperactive girl. She is optimistic and outgoing which often comes in handy when Dipper needs help with a mystery. She is never seen upset and always keeps her glass-half-full attitude on display. Moreover, she has a high opinion of herself and considers herself irresistible to boys.

However, Mabel sometimes goes over the board. That mostly happens when she is trying to fix two people together, like Dipper and Wendy. Lastly, she is fixed on finding her true love even if it puts her in uncomfortable situations.

Dipper

Dipper is a direct contrast to Mabel. He takes a rational and serious approach to uncovering the paranormal activities in the Gravity Falls. He can also be judgemental and desperately wants to grow up. Yet, he is extremely intelligent and compassionate. Therefore, he is always carrying his 17 cameras around. Dipper wants to be seen as an adult, so he gets easily irritated whenever someone calls him cute or adorable. Lastly, he always takes charge due to his bravery and intellect.

Grunkle

Grunkle is Dipper and Mabel’s great-uncle. He is an ex-con who settled in Gravity Falls. He thinks little of other residents and is on the lookout to exploit various local legends and their gullibility. Grunkle is an excellent salesman and runs a successful tourist trap. That said, he is highly manipulative, charismatic, and charming.

One could also say that Grunkle is greedy and selfish. At one instance he stated that his greatest desire is to be rich. He is very protective of his twin brother and even offers to obliterate his mind if it means his twin will survive.

Wendy

Wendy is a part-time worker at the Mystery Shack. She is a down-to-earth girl with a mellow and fun-loving personality. However, that is just a facade she puts on to hide the stress her family causes her. On top of that, she despises working even though she doesn’t do much.

Much like Mabel, she maintains a positive outlook on life. She is quick to make friends and is rarely moody. Wendy has a sweet tooth as seen when she took a job as a lifeguard for the snack privileges. But, she didn’t hold that position for a long time because she was taking too many snacks.
